Erin Smidt
Director of Product Development – The Airtex Group
Erin leads the Product Development group to deliver best in class product to our customers. She is product specialist in home textiles with an impeccable sense of color, design, and trend. Her passion is translating high-style, top notch quality and functionality into products that suit the needs of various customers. Her responsibilities include leading the PD team and work cross functionally to lead the entire lifecycle of products.
Prior to joining Airtex in 2018, she started her career as a textile designer and eventually leading Product Development & Design at Feizy Rugs. During her tenure there, she supported retail, B2B, and designers by developing innovative rugs and bedding from around the world.
She is a graduate of Iowa State University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Design, and a minor in Theatrical Design.
Erin lives in Minneapolis. She enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews, re-furbishing furniture and watercolor painting.
