Joni Johnson-Peret
President
Joni Johnson-Peret is a strategic sales leader recognized as a creative business thinker able to identify white space opportunities and tackle solutions that have driven sales results over the past 20 years selling product lines and services, both at manufacturer companies and at broker service agencies. Major product categories that have been her focus include home décor, soft furniture and other textile categories including toys. Her successful track record included developing and growing long term customer partnerships with creative collaboration on key projects, programs and initiatives. She joins The Airtex Group | Acme Made as Vice President of Sales, with her primary responsibility to drive revenue and profit for the organization through the sales team, selling partners and business development efforts. This includes proactively targeting new customers who fit within The Airtex Group’s ideal customer market segments.
Most recently, Joni served as EVP, Sales & Marketing at Animal Adventure, where she was responsible for sales growth and lead the sales and digital strategy through the omni-channels. To streamline output, she restructured the sales, marketing and account management teams, enabling the company to be more consumer focused.
Prior to Animal Adventure, she was VP of Sales and Business Development at Garven Design Group. Joni was responsible for Garven’s growth by identifying new white space opportunities in the national sales channels, developing merchandising programs, and launching into new categories with higher margins.
Joni held positions at Compass Marketing and JL Buchanan with primary responsibilities for bringing regional and national brands into major retailers in product categories that include home décor, natural and organic, personal care, and stationery businesses
She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a Bachelor of Arts – Psychology and in continuing education also received the Certificate of Entrepreneurial Studies from University of St. Thomas. Joni is involved in Women Venture organization as a volunteer as well as the Children’s Home Society in St. Paul, MN. Joni resides near Minneapolis, MN and enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. Their favorite family activity is being on the water and being foodies!
